Little Copycat

Gracie seen me wear Zachary the other night in this sling that Theresa had lent me. She picked it up and because it was still fastened together she actually put it on with no help from either Alex or myself and was trying to put her baby doll in it. I did help her with that, she walked around the living room for quite a while wearing that sling and her baby.

Bath Time

So Gracie wasn't being especially photogenic but this was officially Zachary's first bath in the big tub. I was trying to get them both cleared up with some Vapor bath, it really didn't work all that well, but it did help Gracie to wind down in time for bed.

Zachary Update

So Alex took this picture the other night, I was holding Zachary and he kept picking his head up to look at me. He was holding it up for quite a while too. But on the update, I took Zach to the pediatrician on Wednesday for another check-up and I thought I would let everyone know what was up...He was 7 lbs 3.2 oz. when he was born 2 weeks ago. When we went to the doctor on the Tuesday after he was born he was 6 lbs. 12 oz. and the same length, 20 1/4 in. On Wednesday, this week, he is 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 1/2 in long. He's growing so fast, Dr. Kovacs was very happy with his weight gain and said he didn't want to see him back until January for his 2 month vaccinations. That was a weight off of my shoulders, I can't help but to compare him to Gracie when she was this age. With the hospital stay and all, it was a battle from day one with her but everything has been so easy with Zach, almost too easy.
On the Gracie front, Alex picked her up from Theresa's yesterday so I didn't have to get the baby out in the nasty weather and he told me that she was asking for Grandpa. He told her that Grandpa had gone home because he had to go to work and she was fine after that. She's just so funny sometimes. I can't believe that she'll be 2 in January. It seems just like yesterday that she was Zach's size but then again, it seems like forever ago.
Well, little boy is waking up and I still need to fold up their laundry. More pics and updates to come soon.

Zachary is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zachary Christian Roper arrived this morning at 6:40. He weighed 7lb 3.2oz and was 20 1/4 in long. Charity and I think he looks like his big sister but time will tell. He caused some excitement because he decided to come before the doctor could even get into the room, so the nurse that was taking care of Charity delivered him. He is healthy with all correct body parts.
